Shobha raisoni is an Indian businesswoman and philanthropist. She is the current Director of Mahavir International, a non-profit organization that works towards the upliftment of underprivileged children in India. Apart from her philanthropic activities, She is the Patron of the Raisoni Group of Institutions, which has 19 Institutes across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh which includes 2 Private Universities. The group offers educational courses in engineering, business, and other disciplines. Earlier she was included in the administration of the same. Shobha Raisoni is a strong advocate of women’s empowerment and has been working towards the same cause for many years. She has been actively involved in various women’s organizations and has been a part of many conferences on women’s rights. Shobha Raisoni is also a philanthropist and has been actively working for the betterment of the underprivileged children and women. She has been the part of several projects that aimed at providing education, healthcare, and employment opportunities to the needy. She has also been a part of initiatives that have worked towards providing better infrastructure and facilities to the poor.
She completed her graduation in B.E. (Electronics & Communications) from Osmania University in 1987 and MCA and MBA from RTMNU, Nagpur. She worked as a Senior Technical Assistant from Oct 1991 to September 1993 at the Electronics & Space Physics Laboratory, Department of Physics, Nagpur University, Nagpur, on the project entitled “Dynamics of Tropical Ionosphere with special reference to irregularities and their kinetics using spaced VHF/ UHF receivers and Radars” . This was as a part of AICPITS (All India Coordinated program for Ionospheric and Thermospheric Studies), Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. She has been with the Raisoni Group of Institutions since 2003 and has been heading Sadabai Raisoni Women’s College since 2006.
